🚨Microsoft is reportedly testing Kimi K3 in Copilot👀

Leaked screenshots appear to show Microsoft evaluating Kimi K3 for workloads currently handled by GPT and Claude.

This does NOT mean either model has been replaced yet.

However:

• GitHub already offers Kimi K2.7 Code through Copilot • That model is hosted on Microsoft Azure • Kimi K3 is substantially more capable • Open weights could make it much cheaper to operate at scale

GPT and Claude are now having to compete directly with Chinese open-weight models.

If Kimi K3 performs similarly for a fraction of the cost, why wouldn’t Microsoft use it?
